MUDCLOTH JACKET

This jacket is made using authentic Malian mudcloth, an ancient textile known as bogolanfini, traditionally created by the Bamana people of Mali. The cloth is handwoven and finished using natural dyes and fermented mud, forming a symbolic pattern language rooted in protection, identity, and lived experience.

What began nearly two years ago as a one-of-one piece was later carefully remade by hand. The original mudcloth pattern language is remade, not replicated. Each cloth carries natural variation in tone, mark, and texture, making every jacket truly unique.

Each piece is cut and constructed to order in the U.S. Due to the scarcity of authentic mudcloth and the hand-crafted nature of the process, quantities are extremely limited.
